On May 2, 2025, Kim Robert DeWitt passed away at his home in Kennewick at the age of 71. He was born on December 29, 1953 to Don and Loretta DeWitt in Kennewick. After attending Kennewick High School, in 1971 he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served honorably until 1974. Kim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping. He also loved the many dogs he had throughout the years.
Kim and Rosemary Heilman were married on March 23, 1994. They fell in love with Montana and enjoyed many scenic drives throughout the state. For over 40 years Kim was a telephone lineman and heavy equipment operator, which happily kept him outdoors.
Kim is survived by his wife Rosemary, his children, Shay DeWitt, Hayley (Geoff) Arends, Jennifer Reno, Charles Reno, and Brandi Reno, siblings Loretta (Pudge) Spence, Sharon Doty, Mike (Lynn) DeWitt, Steve DeWitt, brother-in-law Jerry (Mary) Heilman, grandchildren Brittney Ekins, Zach Arends, Nolan Arends, Austin Reno, Chandler E. Reno (Shawn Williams), Damian Reno Simons, Loren Reno Stancil (Jared), Christian Reno (Chloe), and Riley Reno. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service for Kim is scheduled for May 17, 2025, at 10:00 am at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick, Washington.
