Kevin Cornelius
Jennings
May 6, 1988 — Oct 20, 2023
Kevin Cornelius-Tanner Jennings was born in Chicago, IL on May 6, 1988 to Vicki M. Moore (Mama V.) and Winnie Tanner. He departed this earth on October 20, 2023 at home with his family. Kevin came to Washington, when he was 11 years old with his siblings and adoptive mother, Rebecca Jennings, who raised him in Kennewick. He attended school in Kennewick and graduated from Southridge High School in 2007. He continued his education and received an AA degree in Business from Charter College. Kevin was very kind-hearted, funny and also straight-forward when he wanted to get point across. He developed a love for cooking and often "boasted" that his food was the best. He enjoyed cooking because it made people happy. He worked as a cook at several restaurants, including working as Lead Cook at the Red Lion in Richland. However, his greatest passion was being a father to his four children and two bonus children. They were the love of his life. Kevin was engaged to Monique Norwood and they were scheduled to be married on November 4th. He gave his life to Christ at a young age and was baptized by Pastor Doug Graves at Word of Faith in Kennewick. Pastor Graves continued to be a mentor to Kevin until Pastor Graves passed away. Kevin later attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where Mama V. and his sister, Vernita, were members.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Jennings; grandmother, Rebecca Land; sister, Charlene Hunter and daughter, Sa 'Nia Jennings. He leaves to cherish his memories, Mama V., his father, Winnie Tanner; his children, Kaevon, Rianna, Kendrick and their mother, Amera; his daughter Chanel and her mother Michele; his bonus daughters, Ravynn and Akealah; brothers, Victor, Karl (his twin), Phillip & Byron; his sisters Ardina (Michael), Vernita, Samantha, Sherika & Dominque; his adopted brothers, Thomas, Andre, Ruben & Kyan (Shakira); his adopted sisters, Resha, Anita (John) & Leanna; his fiancée, Monique; Uncles, Rick & Mike; Aunt, Gwen; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
