Honoring the Life of Kerry Vern Dickman

Kerry Vern Dickman, age 78, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, at 6:01 p.m. at Regency Canyon Lakes in Kennewick, Washington. Born in Oregon City, Oregon, on October 15, 1947, he lived a life anchored by faith, family, and devoted service to his community.

Kerry grew up with a deep passion for sports and community. He attended Kennewick High School, where he proudly played football and graduated with the Class of 1965. He pursued his higher education at Brigham Young University, earning his Bachelor’s degree and laying the foundation for a successful and respected career in banking. On June 9, 1967, he married his eternal companion, Kathleen Anne Kenner, in the Salt Lake Temple in Utah. Together, they built a beautiful legacy of love, commitment, and family.

A dedicated and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served with gladness in numerous leadership positions throughout his life, including serving in several Bishoprics. His commitment to serving others extended into the community as an active and proud Rotarian.

An avid sportsman and outdoor enthusiast, his love for the game never faded; he found great joy in golf, baseball, football, and spending time in nature. He loved the challenge of athletic pursuits, a passion highlighted by his accomplishment as a marathon runner. He also gave back to the sports he loved by spending many years officiating local games. Above all, his favorite role was that of a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Benjamin Dickman and Wilma Elizabeth Chubb.

His legacy lives on through his beloved wife, Kathleen Anne Kenner Dickman; his siblings, Laura Connor, Clay Dickman, and Mark Dickmann; and his five children, Dannielle (Gary) McGinn, Holly (Patrick) Stillwell, Amber (Doug) Cox, Kasey (Anna) Dickman, and Erin (Jordan) Geddes.

He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren: Madison (Nick) Hebert, Paige Stillwell, Maisie (Nathan) Steed, Dalan (Jess) Cox, Gannon McGinn, Easton (Francesca) Cox, Sadie McGinn, Dawson Stillwell, Haven (Jack) Leonard, Kylee Dickman, Maren (Ryan) Bird, Savanna Dickman, Grant Geddes, Carson Cox, Paxton McGinn, Brenna Dickman, Rory Dickman, Leila Geddes, Blaine Stillwell, and Watson Geddes; and his 5 great-grandchildren: Eleanor Hebert, Delaney Hebert, Marley Hebert, Hudson Steed, and Adeline Hebert.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 3rd, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mueller's Tri Cities Funeral Home in Kennewick.

The funeral service to celebrate his life and faith will be held on Friday, September 4th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Buntin Building, located at 820 South Buntin, Kennewick. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
