Kenneth Michael 'Mikey' Terry, 41, of Pasco, WA, passed away on July 13, 2023 in Richland, WA after a long illness.
Mikey was born on January 15, 1982 to Ken Terry and Patty (McDaid) Terry in Pasco, WA. Mikey graduated in 2000 from Pasco High School and soon after joined the Marine Corp. He served as an 0351 Assaultman with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, India Company for 4 years including 2 deployments to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He finished his service with the rank of Corporal along with several decorations and citations.
Mikey earned an AA from Columbia Basin College. He also attended Central Washington University pursuing an engineering degree where he was vice-president of the Beard Club. Mikey recently became OSHA certified.
Mikey was a loyal and loving son, brother, uncle, friend and hero to many. Mikey's family was everything to him and, him, to them. Mikey was 'Uncle Mike' to many of his friends' kids.
Mikey was a mentor and never refused an offer to help someone out. You could often find him going on walks with friends and family. He carried snacks, water, socks, gloves and many other things in case he came across someone that may need them.
Mikey enjoyed making art. He spent hours on his projects, taking time and care to create what he envisioned. He cut out stencils by hand and made unique shirts. He painted glassware and made many beautiful things out of each piece. Other interests he had were spending time with friends and family, the Seahawks, the Simpsons, camping, tacos, shoes, and cutlery.
Mikey will be remembered for his care, his loyalty, his leadership, his hard work, and his passion. He loved to try new things and seek out the next adventure. He lived a lot in his short 41 years of life.
Mikey is survived in death by his mom, Patty, sister, Michelle, brother-in-law, Mike, nephew, Matthew, niece, Morgan and 100+ uncles, aunts and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Ken.
There will be a graveside service at 10:30AM at Mueller's Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1401 S. Union St., Kennewick, WA. It will be followed by a Celebration of Life from 12-4 at the Highlands Grange, 1500 S. Union St., Kennewick, WA.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mission 22, a National Veterans Non-Profit.
