Kenneth Eugene
Smith
Jul 13, 1943 — Feb 12, 2025
Kenneth (Kenny) Smith, beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, brother, friend and so much more went to Heaven on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
Kenny was born in Bend Oregon on July 13 1943 to Otis Smith (Smitty) and Evelyn Smith. He graduated from Riverview High School in Finley Washington. Kenny worked as a laborer and carpenter most of his life and retired from Hanford. Although he had titled jobs, he was a "Jack of all Trades". He never met a car he couldn't fix or anything he couldn't build. He grew up riding his horse Champ all over Finley and as he got older, he rode horses till he couldn't! He rarely was seen without his cowboy hat and dressing up to him meant wearing his dad's leather cowboy vest! He was an avid classic car show enthusiast and won several awards for his antique cars which he restored himself.
Kenny married the love of his life, Jeral "Mike" Nowobilski on April 16, 1965. They have 3 children, Kevin (Paula) Smith, Lisa (Jeff) Lomax and Jason (Wendy) Smith. He was a much-loved Grandpa and Great Papa to many grandkids and great grandkids. He had a clever mind and quit wit and didn't hesitate to be the center of attention at family functions telling stories of his younger days and how he taught someone a lesson and stood for what is right. He instilled that quality in his kids and grandkids and was very proud of them. He often said he couldn't have asked for a better life and we couldn't ask for a better husband and father.
A Celebration at Life will be scheduled at a later date.
