Kendall Robert Meldrum passed away unexpectedly on August 26, 2023, in Abbotsford, British

Columbia, Canada. He was born March 5, 1956, To Joan C. Meldrum and I.R. Bob Meldrum in Logan,

Utah. When he was 16, he moved with his farm to the family farm in Basin City, WA. He met the love of

his life Vicki Gunnell, at a church Valentine's dance, soon after they moved. Ken graduated from Connell

High School in 1974. He married Vicki on August 15, 1975, and they were sealed in the Logan, Utah

Temple on August 17

th, 1976.

Ken and Vicki have been together since they were just 15 and 16 years old and their love has grown

more and more each year. They have known each other for 50 years and just celebrated their 48th

wedding anniversary on August 15th

.

Ken and Vicki had so many adventures throughout their time together whether it was the farm, town,

the truck, or nature, Ken created adventures everywhere he went. Ken loved having a farm, where all

his kids, grandkids, and bonus kids could come and learn how to work and be together.

No matter if it was work or play, Ken and Vicki were always together. It was Ken and Vicki's dream to

truck together, and Ken passed away doing what he loved. His Dog Sophie was always there for his

"daily therapy sessions"

Ken had a great love for the Lord and enjoyed studying the scriptures, he lived a life of complete service

to all, even strangers, but never wanted to be a burden to anyone. He touched lives wherever he went.

He was known to many as the "Gentle Giant" He always tried to give good advice. Some of his favorite

sayings were: "If you never fail, you'll never learn." "You didn't fail, you just learned another way Not to

do it." and "A Mistake is not bad, unless you don't learn from it."and "You only fail, if you don't try."

Ken was the family's "google" If someone had a question about almost any topic, the first person they

asked was Ken. If he didn't know the answer, which was rare, he would always research and study until

he could answer the question or explain the how's, whys, and what's for the entire topic. He loved to

learn and loved to teach others, especially his grandkids, about anything and everything.

Ken was always up for a side adventure. He wanted to know what was down every road, especially

those less traveled, which frequently caused him to go hours out of his way and resulted in him being

late everywhere much of the time.

Ken is Survived by his wife Vicki Meldrum, Children: Rob Meldrum, Tiffany (Jason) Lindemuth, Jen (John)

Thompson, and Brian Meldrum, His father Bob Meldrum. His siblings: Joanne (Lennie) Hendrix, Mike

(Judy) Meldrum, Jim (Heather) Meldrum, Sam (Dan (dec.)) Gayda. Many Nephews, Nieces, Uncles,

Aunts, and Cousins. Extended Grandchildren, as he was a grandpa to everyone, and many "Bonus"

family members as he thought of everyone as family. He had 16 Grandchildren, and 2 GreatGrandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his Mother Joan Meldrum, His in-laws Bill and Mary Gunnell, and by his

Grandparents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 16, 2023, at the Pasco LDS Stake Center located at

2004 N 24th Ave, Pasco WA. The Viewing will start at 9:00am Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am. The

interment will be at the Country View Cemetary in Basin City Washington.
