Kelly Roy
Anderson
Mar 17, 1977 — Jan 11, 2026
Kelly Roy Anderson was born on March 17, 1977 in Devils Lake, North Dakota to Gary and Ann (Mackie) Anderson. The family moved to Glasgow, Montana so his dad could attend vocational school shortly after Kelly was born. After living there for a little over a year the family relocated and settled in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Kelly spent his childhood with his older brother Justin. He played baseball growing up until his 8th grade year. He enjoyed playing pickup basketball with a group of friends of whom he remained close to throughout his life. Kelly graduated from Glencoe High School in 1995. Kelly was caring, so incredibly funny and loved his family beyond measure. He had an interest in woodworking and loved building things.
In February of 1998, Kelly followed Justin by joining the BNSF Railway as a bridge tender in Vancouver, Washington. In 2004 he would transfer to become a conductor and then later a locomotive engineer. He worked in both Seattle and Vancouver for many years before moving to Kennewick, Washington in 2017 to be closer to family. He spent 28 years working for the BNSF Railway.
While living in Seattle, Kelly met the love of his life Sheena Broyles. He called Justin proclaiming that he had found the one. On August 5, 2010 Kelly and Sheena married in a very quaint, beautiful ceremony as they overlooked the Columbia Gorge at Skamania Lodge. In attendance was their pride and joy Carson Alexander, their son whom they welcomed earlier that year. Maxwell Gary later completed their family in 2014. Kelly cherished his boys and loved being their dad. They, along with Sheena, were his whole world.
Kelly passed in his home on January 11, 2026. He is proceeded in death by his father Gary Anderson. He is survived by his wife Sheena, his two wonderful sons Carson and Maxwell. In addition, his mother Ann Olson, mother in-law Rita Porter, brother Justin and his wife Karen Anderson, his nieces Courtney Taylor, Lindsey MacDonald and Samantha Anderson. Kelly is also survived by a host of in-laws. He will be truly missed.
