On December 13, 2019, Kedkeo Siharath passed away peacefully in Pasco, WA surrounded by his children. Born in Attapeu, Laos, Kedkeo lived a courageous life full of adventure, laughter, love and hope. In his earlier years he went to medical school and later joined the Royal Lao Air force to serve his country to fight against communism as a well-respected pilot during the Vietnam War. During his time as a pilot, he was married to the love of his life, a school teacher, Elizabeth Viengsavanh and had three children. After the Vietnam War ended, he served more than three years at a concentration camp in Laos where he later planned a brave escape with his wife and children to find political freedom and a new life in the US. His journey led him to Kennewick, WA where he raised his family and worked as a supervisor at Tyson Foods Inc. He retired after 30 years of service. There he made many lifelong friends and enjoyed the company of so many of his colleagues. Kedkeo enjoyed the outdoors and the simple things in life. He spent his free time fishing and gardening. He found the most joy in sharing his fresh caught fish or home-grown vegetables with family and friends. He was best known for his strong work ethic, generosity, quiet, sweet nature and big smile. He is greatly loved by his family, friends and community. His presence will be missed. Kedkeo is survived by his three children, Alexander, Anousinh (Erik), Vayourinh (Tanya), two grandchildren, Brennan and Blakely, his 7 siblings and golden lab, Charlie.
