Kathy Jean Osborne Schneider was born April 1, 1950 in Pasco, Washington to Joseph V. Osborne Jr. and Betty Evelyn Osborne. She passed away in Kennewick on March 18, 2023 in Kennewick.

She attended K-12 in the Kennewick School System, graduating from Kennewick Sr. High School in 1968. She attended Central Washington State College (CWSC). She subsequently moved to Torrance, California where she met and married Larry Schneider. The two had one child, Jay Schneider.

She returned to Kennewick and went to work at the City of Kennewick, as a Customer Service Representative, for 13 years. She then completed Beauty School and after working in that field for a brief period, she went to work for Battelle in Richland, in the Computer department.

Kathy enjoyed socializing with her friends over dinner and going to the movies.

She is survived by her son, Jay Schneider, grandchildren, Ashley, Jaylee, Lauren, Tyler, Jacob and Josiah. She is also survived by her brother, Steve Osborne and sister-in-law, Karen Osborne as well as sister, Leslie Osborne. She is also survived by three nieces and one nephew.

A Celebration of Life will take place later this spring.
