Kathleen "Kathy" Ann Nuxoll Sorbel, 58, passed away May 19, 2008 in Kennewick, Washington. She was born February 19, 1950 in Cottonwood, Idaho to Robert and Clara Nuxoll of Greencreek, Idaho. Kathy attended school in Cottonwood until the family moved to St. Maries, Idaho in 1958. She graduated in 1968. After graduating she worked at First Security Bank in St. Maries, Moscow and Lewiston. Kathy married Duane Sorbel on November 22, 1969 in St. Maries, Idaho and they moved to Lewiston. In 1973 they moved to Moscow, Idaho and finally to Kennewick, Washington in 1978. She began working for the Kennewick School District in 1980 as a Para Educator at Lincoln Elementary. She also worked part time at the Treasure Tree boutique. Kathy was preceded in death by her dad in 1972. She is survived by husband Duane Sorbel of Kennewick; children Bob Christi Sorbel and their children Chayce and Taylor of Burbank, Washington; Jeff Kasey Sorbel and their children Dalton and Drew of Richmond, Texas; Mom and best friend Clara Bromgard and stepdad Vern Bromgard of Kennewick. She is also survived by sisters Margie Nemeth of Spokane and Jeannie Jones of Sandpoint, Idaho; step-brothers Art Bromgard of Idaho Falls and Mel Bromgard of Horseshoe Bend, Idaho; sister-in-law Janice & Ed McKenzie and their family of Gennese, Idaho; brothers-in-law Dale & Marcia Sorbel and family of Moscow, Idaho and Dean Sorbel and family of Post Falls, Idaho; including numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be Thursday, May 22, 2008, 4:00pm, at Kennewick Church of the Nazarene located at 2402 S. Union Street. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kathy's name to Lincoln Elementary School, 4901 W. 21st Avenue, Kennewick, WA 99338.
