Most of the time she drove the Special Ed students. Karen absolutely loved her Special Ed children and tried to keep track of them after they graduated. Prior to driving school buses, she worked at various bakeries and then at Sg. Bob's gas station. Karen was an avid fisherman and bowled in numerous bowling leagues. She went to numerous state bowling tournaments. Karen also loved going to garage sales, estate sales, and auctions. She was a collector of all kinds of items but especially anything eagles, wolves, Native American, and lighthouses. She loved wildlife most of all birds. Karen was an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her sisters (Lois and Shirley), her mom and dad. She is survived by her special nephew Mitchell Halgren, his wife Colleen, her favorite niece McKenzie, her nephew Terry, her cousins Meta & Elsie Hopper, her partner of 37 years Cheryl Ader, and special "sister" Nancy McLeod.
