Judy Rose Wisdom (Biorn) passed away peacefully at home with her husband Del, holding her hand on February 19, 2024. She was born on June 1, 1946, in Pasco, Washington, to Andrew and Ina Biorn. Judy was a woman of God who loved Jesus wholeheartedly and studied His word, the Bible, for hours each day. She was also a steadfast and dedicated prayer warrior. She was a Godly example to all who knew her and was loved and treasured by many. The impact of Judy's life will be felt for years to come. When she was not studying or sharing wisdom from God's word through leading Bible studies, you might have found her playing the piano, enjoying family, beautifully decorating her home (or others as Judy had a well-known talent for interior design), or reading. Judy attended Connell schools all 12 years. She was selected to represent Connell as Miss North Franklin in 1963 and graduated from Connell High School in 1964. The following summer, she met her future husband, Del Wisdom, and quickly fell in love. Judy left in the fall to attend Central Washington University to study music. The following spring she and Del were engaged and they married on January 2, 1966. Years later, she continued her education through Christian Life College of Theology, where she earned a Master of Theology degree. Del and Judy started their family when they welcomed son Tony, who arrived in March of 1968. 2 years and 1 day later, they welcomed daughter Kimberly. Judy enjoyed staying home to nurture their young family and support Del in all his agricultural business endeavors, beginning with Judel Farms in 1967. For several summers, Del and Judy had college-age men, including young men from Japan, Australia, and The Netherlands, live with them to work on the farm. Judy served them by cooking meals "enough for an army" and doing all of their laundry. They welcomed these young men into their home, not only to work on the farm but to mentor them, some becoming like sons. Throughout the years, Judy played the piano and guitar for multiple worship teams. She dearly loved the group that she was a part of at Gideon Lutheran Church in Connell called The Joyful Noise. Judy was a part of worship teams for much of her adult life and directed, and participated in, numerous musicals at Gideon Lutheran, Basin City Assembly of God, and Calvary Church in Richland, WA. This was Judy's beautiful and practical way of loving Jesus – and it blessed so many lives. Judy, along with Del, were the hosts of many family gatherings, as well as church small groups that met at their home weekly. So much laughter, food, deep conversations, and love was shared at the Wisdom home. Judy was an example of a woman driven by her purpose and faith in God. She would always challenge those around her to be the person that God had created them to be by spending time in His word, prayer, and following the dreams He had given them. Her legacy will live on forever through the many things she taught her children and others, whether by deed or words. She will be remembered as a dedicated wife, loving mama, sister, and friend. Judy had lived peacefully with Alzheimer's/Dementia for two years and very recently with colon cancer. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ina Biorn. Judy is survived by her husband Del, son Tony and his wife Leslie, daughter Kimberly and her husband Rob along with their six children, Jeremiah, Micah, Hannah, Alayah, Mariah, and Isaiah, and daughter Sonya and her husband Sam, along with their 7 children, Solomon, Seth, Samuel, Stephen, Silas, Simon, Sophia. She is also survived by her sister Andrea Skeesick and her husband Lon, brother Grant Biorn, and many special nieces and nephews.
