Judy Kathryn
Ward
Jul 15, 1948 — Apr 29, 2026
Judy Kathryn Ward (Pierce) was born on July 15, 1948 in Wheeler, Texas & loves Jesus the Messiah.
She was the happy outgoing first child to whom nobody was a stranger, loved to sing, excelled in choir as a soprano & went to state competition for solo/small group. Judy graduated from Kennewick High in 1966 then went on to CBC in December, 1967. She met the love of her life, Robert A Dawson (USAF) whom passed September 8, 2023, they enjoyed scuba diving, water skiing, snowmobiling & boat racing. They divorced in 1980 but had a son, Michael Dawson. A few short years later she went on a blind date with Claude Ward & sparks flew! They were married in 1985 & moved to Irvine, California where he worked for Rockwell Space Program & she was a bookkeeper for various companies. They got to be inside Space Shuttle Endeavour at Edwards AF Base, flew their Cessna 172 all around the western states, had to drive all over the lower Los Angeles suburbs to keep up with Michael and his friends from Huntington Beach, Disneyland, Universal Studios, San Diego Zoo, Sea World & Costa Mesa skateboarding competition for the Infamous Bam Margara. Claude passed in early 1997 so she moved back to Kennewick, Washington to live out the rest of her life near Michael.
Judy Ward felt she'd pursued a lifetime of fun, events, love & was content. She retired from American Electric Inc. to which she was grateful to its owner, Joe Gonzalez, for his kindness & generosity. She loved to bask in her grandchildren's growth, learning & triumphs.
Judy is survived by her brother Bobby & his wife Susan Pierce, sister Janette Pettey, her son Michael & his wife Ashley Dawson, Kaytlinn Abbott, Bradley Dawson, Zander Dawson, Ryker Dawson, & a flood of nieces/nephews whom all love her dearly
