Judi passed away May 30, 2011 at home with her loving family by her side. Judi was born February 3, 1941 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Harley and Velma Carlton. Judi married twice before she found the love of her life, Eugene Bomstad, while she was living in Vancouver, Washington. They moved to San Diego, California and on April 19, 1969 they married in Reno, Nevada. Gene was in the Air Force and they moved to Weisbadden, West Germany. Mom always loved to talk about the wonderful times they had in Germany and the traveling she did while there. She had an adventurous spirit and was always willing to try anything new. After Gene retired they moved from Vancouver to Kennewick, Washington where she had grown up, and bought acreage in Finley. She was always bringing home a farm animal or having dad start up a project. Her and Dad loved the Oregon Coast and went once a year. Judi is preceded in death by her father Harley Carlton, her mother Velma Gill, and her brother Donald Carlton. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Eugene Bomstad; sisters Janice and Tricia Carlton Kennewick; sister-in-law Darlene Carlton Gaverht Kennewick; children Marc Rose Welch Waterbury, CT, Thomas Spafford Arlington, WA, Eric Bomstad Finley, WA, and Alicia James Cook Burbank, WA; grandchildren April Rob Castillo, Marc Welch III, Andrue Chrisp, Harleigh Chrisp, Dayne Cook, Alyssa Cook, and Jordyne Cook; great-grandchildren Sebastian and Ashton Castillo; numerous nieces, nephews and their children and grandchildren. She is also survived by her best friend of 55 years Mareda Jim Carney Pasco, WA, who was like a sister to her. Per Mom's request there will be no services. We will celebrate her life at her home on Wednesday, June 1st, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
