Juanita Lorene (Hacker) Bishop passed away at home on January 3, 2014, with her family at her side. She was born September 22, 1921 in Stockton, MO and moved to Kennewick with her family when she was seven years old. Her parents Willard Hacker and Clara (Foraker) Hacker, farmed and raised their five children in Kennewick. Juanita graduated from Kennewick High School in 1939, and shortly after graduation she married "the boy next door", Donald V. Bishop. They worked side by side throughout their marriage and raising their children. They settled in their home on West 7th Ave, where they remained enjoying more than 66 beautiful years together. Juanita was all about family. She enjoyed attending all of her children's, grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's activities and celebrations. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, traveling, cousin reunions, friendship club and playing cards, golf on T.V. She always welcomed everyone into her home, loved fall colors, stuffed bunnies and fudge. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents Willard and Clara Hacker, husband Donald Bishop, son Gary Bishop, daughters Donita Gans (Del), Barbara Johnson (Ken), granddaughter Kerry Ann Bishop, sisters Beatrice Craig (Buster), Thelma Russert (Wert), Wilma Grimshaw, and brother Ed Hacker. She is survived by son Jerry Bishop (Mary), daughter Sandi Walker (Tom), nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Don Grimshaw, sister-in-law Marilyn Hacker, and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and forever loved. The viewing will be January 9, 2014 at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union St. from 5pm to 8pm, and January 10, 2014 from 9am to 11am. Funeral service will begin at 12pm on Friday with interment at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Potluck luncheon to follow.
