With deep sorrow and love, we announce the passing of Juan Montalvo, who was born on October 7, 1947, in Trinidad García de la Cadena, Zacatecas, and passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025.

Juan made his home in Pasco, Washington, where he lived for over 40 years, building a life rooted in hard work, kindness, and deep love for his family and community.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Maria Montalvo, and his loving children: Juan Montalvo Jr., Crystal Rodriguez, and Nelly Razo. Juan was a proud husband and father whose greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren.

Juan had a special passion for birds. He found peace and happiness caring for them and selling birds at the flea market, where he loved talking to people, sharing stories, and helping anyone in need. He was known for his warm conversations, his generous spirit, and his willingness to lend a helping hand.

He also loved gardening, taking pride in growing fruit trees and vegetables—especially watermelons and cucumbers—which he lovingly grew for his grandchildren. One of his most thoughtful gestures was preparing fresh fruit bowls for his wife, Maria, so they would be ready when she came home from work—a simple act that reflected his deep love and devotion.

Juan was immensely proud of his children and often shared with others the joy he felt in having a daughter who became a nurse and a daughter who became a teacher. His pride in his family was unwavering and heartfelt.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that Juan's legacy of love, generosity, and kindness will live on through all who knew him.

Just as he lovingly cared for his birds, now it is his turn to spread his wings and fly free. May he soar peacefully into the heavens, watching over us always.
