Obituary

JR Bias, age 90, passed away August 6, at Rosetta Assisted Living in Kennewick, Washington. He was born September 1, 1919, to Savannah Crain and JR Bias in Muskogee/ Claremore, Oklahoma. J.R. is a WWII war veteran and was stationed in Germany until the end of the war. JR worked for the Bureau of Reclamation as a ditch rider for 18 years until he bought a farm in Franklin County in 1965 and began farming. He loved his wife Bertie Lee most of all but also loved the great outdoors which included fishing and camping. After retiring he loved traveling in his motor home with his beloved wife and playing cards with his family. JR was preceded in death by his parents and 12 siblings. He has one sister, Lorene, still living. He is survived by his wife, Bertie Lee Bias and their children: Alice Lee Roney, Barbara Ann Miller, Alta Faye Berg, James Ray Bias and Janis Kay Kimble along with 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to help celebrate JR's life at a memorial and burial service on Friday, August 13 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Country Christian Center north of Pasco.
