Joy Lene Rill Weeks

Went home to our Heavenly Father following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She passed in Kennewick WA with family by her side. Our beautiful Joy had a quick but quiet humor, remarkable memory, kindness, resilience, and love which will never be forgotten.

Joy was born December 9th 1964, 3 months ahead of schedule weighing in at under 2-lbs to parents Myron & DeLeva Rill in Heppner, Oregon. "Miracle" Joy grew up in the Columbia basin area, attending schools in Connell and Othello, where she graduated High School in 1984. Joy furthered her education in Washington and in Oregon, earning a degree in Dairy sciences, and she also graduated from one of the top professional dog grooming programs available. She loved her career of breeding and showing Champion Schnauzers and Border Terriers, and was a very talented and professional Dog Groomer, with clients (most of whom became close friends) all over Washington, Oregon, California, and many other states along with Canada. The dog community that Joy encircled herself in became a family in many ways, and will remember and miss her dearly.

Joy lived on Whidbey Island with Rick and her most treasured gift in life, daughter Lyndee. Joy was preceded in death by her mother DeLeva Rill. She is survived by her father Myron Rill, brother Kim Rill (Debbie), sisters Trina Wieseler (Mike), Denise Weise, Sheena Woods (Stuart) and many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Remembering Joy… "Dog showing, dog grooming, but mostly by being a loving person. You have touched so many in your life, and left an everlasting impression on all of us. We love you dearly!"

A beach memorial is being planned for Spring 2026, in Seaside, Oregon. A very special and dear place in Joy's heart.
