It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Josephine E. Banda, who passed away on November 26th, 2024, at the age of 82. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her unwavering love, kindness, and strength.

Josie spent her life caring for others, always putting her family first. Married to Heliodoro Banda in 1962, they moved to Tri-Cities. When they began their family in 1963, she became the proud mother of Nelda and then James in 1978. Later she became grandmother to Collin and Kayla, leaving a legacy of love and warmth that will endure in their lives.

Josie had a gift for making others feel valued, and her home was a place of comfort and joy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held on December 14th, 2024, at 11:00am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kennewick, WA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Benton-Franklin Humane Society.
