Jose Francisco Alonzo

May 11th, 1950 - September 24th, 2024

Jose "Joe" Francisco Alonzo, a resident of Pasco, WA passed away at the age of 74 on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 surrounded by his cherished loved ones in the days and hours that led to his final moments. Born May 11th,1950 in Edinberg, Texas, Joe was the third born of seven children to Juan Alonzo and Dominga (Salinas). Joe's family later moved to the PNW in 1954 where they would later settle in Walla Walla, WA.

In Joe's early 20s he was a Jr. draftsman for the city of McMinnville a position he took great pride in. In his later years he would later start his own auto business, "Alonzo's Body Chop" where he restored class and antique autos from his home in Walla Walla while also working for IBP/ Tyson Fresh Meats in Wallula, WA where he served 41 years before his reluctant retirement in 2022.

Joe married (and later divorced) Stella Bravo of Pasco, WA and together they welcomed daughters Julie Alonzo and Lisa Soto of Pasco, WA and Israel Alonzo of Kennewick, WA. Joe married (and later divorced) Lupe Franco (deceased) of Walla Walla, WA and together they welcomed son Carlos Alonzo (Anna) of Beaverton, OR, daughter Maxene Hallquist (Craig) of Portland, OR, and Rose Alonzo of Pasco, WA. Joe found his love Irene (Ramirez Perez), a beloved familiar family friend, they married on May 7th, 2011. Joe embraced Irene's children Franchesca Perez of Vancouver, WA, Augustine of Richland, WA and Sophia Vargas of Milwaukie, OR, and a total of seven grandchildren.

Joe is survived by his wife, Irene, and his legacy continues through his six children, three step-children, 15 grandkids, seven step-grandkids, and an amazing 29 great-grandchildren.
