John Paul Rogers, 85, of Kennewick, WA went to Heaven on August 31, 2023. He was born in Corvallis, OR on March 28, 1938. John was a devoted and loving husband and father, known for his kind and caring nature. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

John served in the US Airforce for 23 years, achieving the rank of Master Sgt. He spent a significant part of his military career in Biloxi, Miss., as well as San Antonio, TX and Athens, Greece. After his retirement from the Airforce in 1986, John worked for Pacific Northwest Laboratory until he retired from there in 1999.

John was a valued member of South Hills Church where he played an instrumental role in starting the Celebrate Recovery program and dedicated many years to its success. He also volunteered with the CR program at Coyote Ridge Prison, providing support and guidance to inmates usually twice a week.

In his free time, John enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his cherished wife Patti and their children, Kimberly (John) Canario, Kristy Barber, Drew (Anne) Rogers, Brady (Delaina) Rogers and Joshua (Karrah) Rogers. He was also a loving brother to Sandy (Jill) Rogers, Ramona Brownlee and Nelma Rogers. John is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was proceeded in  death by his infant son, Danny Paul, his parents, Brady and Hazel Rogers and his brother Timothy Rogers.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00am on September 23, 2023 at South Hills Church in Kennewick. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Celebrate Recovery at South Hills in memory of John.
