John Kenneth Peterson of Kennewick, WA died Monday, October 24th from septic shock. He was 66 years old. John was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho but raised in Shelley, where he graduated from high school. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Marketing from Brigham Young University. He loved his family and farming. He strived as a businessman to bring agricultural products and practices to the country of Russia. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Peterson, and mother, Fern Peterson. His wife, Madge Lindsay Peterson, their six children, spouses, and grandchildren survives him as follows: Jason Peterson (wife Megan, children—Joshua, Jane), of Albany, New York, Jamie Mead (husband Chad, children—Owen, Luke, Lily, Jack), of Mesa, Arizona, Jay Peterson of Provo, Utah, Joshua Peterson (wife Siera, children- Summer, Kale, Taylor), of St. Joseph, Michigan, Jared Peterson of Pasco, Washington, Justin Peterson (wife Alyssa, child- Brooklyn), of Salt Lake City, Utah. He will be buried in Liberty Cemetery in Liberty, Utah. A viewing will be held at the Buntin LDS Chapel, 820 Buntin Street, Kennewick, Friday, October 28th from 5:00 to 7:00pm with the funeral the next day, on Saturday, October 29th at 1:00pm. There will be a viewing before the funeral starting at 12:00pm, with family prayer at 12:45pm.
