John Mercado

Passing February 10th 2025.

John Mercado, a devoted family man, musician, and artist, passed away peacefully at his home in Kennewick, Washington, at the age of 73.

Born in American Falls, Idaho, to Adelina and Henry Mercado, John grew up with a passion for the performing arts. He pursued his dreams at Riverside College in California, where he studied music and performance.

Throughout his life, John's love for music and family remained steadfast. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, often performing music for them. His loyal companion, Yoshi, an Alaskan Husky, was by his side.

John's interests extended beyond music and art. He was an avid fan of Mecum Auto Auctions and The Price is Right. He also enjoyed nearby casinos, where he would often leave with a winnings.

John is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children, Joseph, Ruben, Adella, Eric, Josh, Connie, and Celio; multiple grandchildren; and his older brother, Jerry Mercado, as well as siblings Henrietta, Ida, Mary, Louie, and Margie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.

A viewing and rosary will be held on Thursday, the 13th, from 4-8 pm, with the rosary taking place from 6-7 pm. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, the 14th, at 11 am at St. Patrick's Church in Pasco. Burial will follow at Prosser, and a reception will be held in Pasco for guests and family after the burial service.

Survived by his wife Linda Joseph, Ruben and Adella. Children: Eric, Josh, Connie and Celio.

He is also survived by his multiple grandkids; his older brother, Jerry Mercado; and Henrietta, Ida, Mary, Louie, and Margie.

Preceded by his parents, seven brothers and sister.
