John Kimble, age 73 of Kennewick, passed away on January 6, 2013 at home surrounded by his loved ones. John was born on October 12, 1939 to Francis and Claudine Kimble in Yakima, Washington. The family moved to Richland, Washington in 1945 and then moved to Kennewick, WA in 1950. John played basketball and graduated from Kennewick High School. John loved to hunt, camp out, quad riding and especially fishing with family and friends, anything outdoors. He would always want to bet on the first, most and biggest fish; and he usually won most of the time on all three counts. He liked to skin his trout, making it a delightful delicacy. John would like to have family and friends over for a BBQ and lawn games or play poker in Johnny's den. John liked to bowl, play pool, golf and played softball on the city leagues and played semi-pro ball. He was a big home run hitter. There wasn't much he couldn't do. John was able to go on his dream trip to Idaho on a guided hunt with his son Scott in 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and his infant son Richard Brion Kimble. He is survived by his wife Luanne, son Scott and wife Jana of Finley, WA; grandchildren Titan, Brion, Amber and Austin; and great-grandchildren Kailand and Laurence; son Ken of Kennewick and grandchildren Shelby and Kendra; brother David and wife Sherry of Palouse, WA; nephews Jeremy and Gerik; niece Lindsey; aunts and numerous cousins.
