John Was born in Sterling, Co. on March 21st, 1922. He was raised on a Hereford ranch in Marsland,Nb. He went to high school in Whitney, Nb. He grew up hunting and fishing on Niobrara River that ran through the family ranch. He served as a Seabee in WWII and was stationed in the South Pacific. He retuned to the family ranch and married Jeanette Miller from Chadron, Nb. They had 3 girls, Betty, Janet and Janice were twins and a boy, John (JB). The family moved to Washington state in 1955 and moved to Pasco in 1956 He loved fishing and bowling. He and his wife went fishing almost every weekend in the summer. They also bowled together in mixed doubles leagues for many years. He bowled in the Tuesday Night Sunset league for 40yrs. He liked swing and country music and loved to dance and have a good time. John was a hard worker all his life. Before WWII he went to LA and worked in an airplane factory before joining the Navy. He did many things during his working years, after leaving the ranch and moving to Pasco, he carried mail for the Post Office, owned his own gas station, worked as a driver for Prior Land, at Bearings Inc. he was a parts counter salesman and he ran a laundry route for Richland Laundry. He was 79 when he finally retired. He went to be with his parents, his wife Jeanette, his 3 daughters, Betty, Janet and Janice, and his brother Gordon in heaven on August 4th 2015. He is survived by his son JB and his wife Gail in Kennewick Wa. His sister Shirley Bellville in Wa., his brother Don Kay in Nb., and his sister-in law Sue Kay in Ok. He has 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was very easy going and laid back. He had a very gentle soul and never complained. Even as he was fading you got his pat answer "I'am fine" when you asked him how he was feeling. I know that he's fine now and in a much better place. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. At his request there will not be a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made the charity of you choice in his name.
