John Van Hill April 16, 1930 - June 4, 2021 John Van Hill, age 91, of Pasco, WA, died Friday, June 4, 2021. He was born April 16, 1930, in Iowa to Dirk and Nellie (Druyff) Van Hill. John joined the Navy in 1950 and was honorably discharged in 1954 after proudly serving in the Korean War. John married Joan Haak on October 14, 1955. After their marriage, the couple moved several times. They lived in Arizona, California, and Washington where John ran his own small businesses, was involved in their church activities, and volunteered in his communities. The couple had two children through adoption, Rick and Judy. Throughout John's life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with his family, friends, and others. John is survived by his wife, Joan Van Hill; two children, Rick (Hilary) Van Hill and Judy (Jim) Larson; three grandchildren, Rachel and Stephen Van Hill and Olivia Larson; his brother Gary Van Hill, and sister Daisy Asplund. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Al, Ed, and Rich Van Hill; and sister Nellie DeJong.
