On September 9, 2016, John "Tom" Goiri passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by his family and friends. Tom was born June 5, 1956 to John & Joan Goiri in Boise, Idaho. He was the second of three children. Tom's parents moved to Kennewick in 1962. He graduated from Kamiakin H.S. in 1976. Tom was full of life. He enjoyed the physical challenges that came with remodeling houses. Whether it be his projects, his dad's projects, or helping friends with theirs. He never expected anything in return when helping others. He loved the end result and being able to show it off. Tom worked at Boise Cascade (PCA) for over 20 years and had many great friends from there. On his off time, he enjoyed boating, hunting, riding his motorcycle, hanging out with family and friends. He was the guy that could make anyone smile or laugh. His day would include a phone call to his mom, a have a great day to his son, and a sparkle in his eye for his daughter. His love for his wife was undeniable and noticed by all. Tom is going to be sorely missed by everyone that knew him. His smile and laughter will forever be in our hearts. Tom was preceded in death by his father, John T Goiri, In-laws Jack & Mary Holbrook and Jeff Holbrook nephews Tyler and J.J. Goiri. He is survived by his mother, Joan Goiri, wife Patti (Holbrook), daughter Jessica Garren (Buddy), son Scott, brother David (Tima), sister Jana Hubbs (Randy), grandchildren Cheyanne & Jimmy Joe, and several nieces and nephews. Services to be held at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, located at 1401 S. Union St, Kennewick, WA, on Saturday September 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.
