Joanne Helen
Holloway
Feb 5, 1937 — Apr 20, 2024
"Joanne Helen Holloway of Kennewick, Washington passed peacefully from this
life into the loving arms of Jesus surrounded by her family on April 20th,
2024. She was 87 years old. She was a caring mother, grandmother, and great
grandmother to many.
Joanne was born on February 5th, 1937 in Kimberly, Idaho to Valentine Meyer
and Sarah Sauer in Twin Falls, Idaho. Joanne married William F. Holloway on
October 22nd, 1955 in Twin Falls, Idaho. They were the parents of one son,
William "Billy, and two daughters, Rhonda and Darla.
She loved spending time with all her family members, and always provided
love and support for them. Some of her passions included gardening,
collecting Betty Boop memorabilia, and listening to Elvis as much as she
could. Joanne also loved camping and hunting with her siblings, as well as
sharing that passion with her late husband. Hanging out around the hunting
camp telling stories with her family were some of her most fond memories,
especially enjoying the pancakes and chili as they reminisced. With her
many grandchildren, Joanne was always there to support their various
sporting events. Knowing Grandma was in the stands cheering them on brought
them great joy. She found a great amount of companionship with her late dog
Taz, to whom we hope is running into her arms in heaven to be reunited
again.
Her family grieves her loss, but they take comfort knowing that William
(her late husband) and Joanne are together again, along with their daughter
Rhonda. Joanne is survived by her daughter Darla, her son William "Billy",
six grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. Though we will miss Mom,
Ma, and our beloved Grandma, we are excited that she is now in the arms of
Jesus, surrounded by her husband, daughter and siblings that she missed
dearly. We will carry on her memories and hold them close to our hearts."
