Joann was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished her family and dedicated her life to her Lord Jesus.

Joann Elsie (Graves) Zuroff, 85 of Kennewick, Wa. Died at her home on Oct. 4, 2023, surrounded and comforted by loving family.

She was born in Kennewick, Wa. On January 16th, 1938 to Bill and Alberta Graves, where she was brought up in a loving home and taught the values of family, Jesus and of course how to cook. And boy could Joann ever cook!!

Joann completed high school at Kennewick High with aspirations to continue her education in Music and the arts, but God (and Grandpa Bill) had other plans for her to soon settle down and start her family.

Joann married her high school sweetheart Jerry Ivey (a car guy like her father) in 1956 and were excited to start their new lives together. Jerry and Joann had 3 boys and were married until 1990.

After raising her 3 children, Joann worked with the Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau,  an Office manager for a Podiatrist, and later at the Hanford site where she met future husband William Zuroff.

William (Bill) and Joann were married in 1995 until his passing in 2020.

Joann's first marriage to Jerry Ivey yielded 3 boys, Brian, David and Rob.

Joann pleaded with her Lord to give her a girl, but it just wasn't in the cards for her. We're sorry Mom!!

Joann, or "Grandma Jo" as she was known to her grandkids, left behind her Children, their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren from Both families that she truly loved more than anything.

Sons Brian and ex wife Shari Ivey and daughters Kendyl and Danielle

David and Linda Ivey, Daughter Katrina and son Trevor

Rob and Jill Ivey, son Taylor and Daughter Kayla.

Stepsons:

Billy and Lydia Zuroff, daughters Grace, Hannah and Kinzie.

Alex and Darla Zuroff, son Nick and daughter Kristina.

Tim and Jacquelynn Zuroff,

And stepdaughter:

Gina and Rick McCarthy, Sons Justin and Nate, daughters Emily and Maddi.

For a total of 15 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.

Joann made many lifelong fiends through the church and just about everywhere she was involved, including the Parkview Estates where she spent the last few years of her life.

So many there were truly touched by her friendship and the way she put their needs above her own.

Joann dedicated her life to Jesus and the Kennewick Nazarene church where she was a lifelong member, regular in the Choir, musicals, and just about anywhere else she could help out.

Joann spent much of her time mentoring and helping others in and outside the church.

She was even accepting of being thrown into the "Management" role of the women's Nazarene softball team "The Snazzy Nazzy's". I believe Joann even designed and made the shirts for the team.

Joann was an artist and a musician who LOVED to sing and play the piano.

She even started a Vocal group in recent years at Parkview Estates named "Joyful Noise" and was such an inspiration to all of those that she recruited for the group, as well as the staff and members in the Parkview Community that they entertained.

Joann was an avid Quilter and LOVED to carry on the family tradition of sewing and quilting.

Her Quilts were otherworldly and treasured by family members and all who were lucky enough to get one.

She made as many as she could for the grandkids and great grandkids, until she was no longer able. Even Until the very end, where there are a couple unfinished quilts she had hoped to finish for the youngest "Great" grandchildren.

Joann will always be remembered for her infectious smile that could light up a room, her love of Jesus and her family, her many talents and willingness to always help others. She was beautiful inside and out, and was even crowned Homecoming Princess of her High School.

Joann is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Alberta Graves, brother Jimmy Graves and Husband William Zuroff.

Joann's Celebration of Life will be held on Nov. 4th, 2023 at the Kennewick Church of the Nazarene
