Joan Van Hill, 87, of Pasco, WA, went home to Heaven on Monday, March 31, 2025, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Joan was born in Momence, Illinois, on April 14, 1937, to Cornelia (Vegter) and Henry Haak. Joan married her lifetime sweetheart, John Van Hill, on October 14, 1955. After they married, the couple moved several times, living in Arizona, California, and Washington throughout their married life. Together they adopted and raised 2 children, Rick and Judy. Joan was a devoted home maker and enjoyed volunteering at her children's school, church events, and in her community. Joan was a member of the Grace United Reformed Church in Kennewick, WA, and made many dear friends among the church's fellowship.
Joan is predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband of 65 years, her son (Rick) as well as siblings William, Henry, Theresa, Henrietta, Arie, John, Bernard, and Clarence. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Larson and Son-in-law Jim Larson; daughter-in-law Hilary Van Hill; grandchildren Olivia Larson, Rachael and Stephen Van Hill; and siblings Corine Vogel, and Hank Haak.
Her family and friends will gather at Mueller's Desert Lawn cemetery for a graveside service on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Anyone wishing to join, is welcome.
