Jimmy Wayne
Jennings
Dec 6, 1954 — Nov 13, 2024
Jimmy Wayne Jennings
AKA: Dad, Gramps, Babe
12/6/1954-11/13/2024
Jim was born in Leavenworth, Washington, December 6, 1954, to Roy and Glenda Jennings, of Kennewick, Washington. Passed away too soon on November 13, 2024, at home, in Kennewick, WA.
In 1973 Jim graduated from Kamiakin High School (Kenn. WA); representing them in wrestling, including state championships, and lettering in football twice in 4 years. After high school Jim joined the Airforce, served 4 years and played fast pitch softball while in the service; he was proud to be a Veteran, and Union Electrician for 25 plus years. In 1991 he met Kathleen Campbell and said she was the best thing that ever happened to him; they married 5 years later and have since celebrated 28 years of love and life.
Jim loved fishing, riding his Harley, camping with family and working on his Honey-Do lists. He was creative and loved tinkering with things and making Metal art out of old parts and pieces from other projects. Jim loved his dogs as much as he loved people, they were more than pets, they were members of the family.
Jim was someone his entire family could look up to. Strong, Kind, Patient, Thoughtful, Generous, the "Cool" Grandpa and Best Fishing Buddy you could ask for, are just a few words used to describe him by his grandkids.
Jim is survived by the love of his life and wife, Kat Jennings, his children Ryan Maxwell and wife Kjirstin, Shawn Maxwell and wife Michelle, Amy Doran; his brother, Gary Jennings and wife Virginia, nephews Jason Jennings and son Levi, Zak Jenings and wife Dawn; his beloved grandchildren: Blake, Ashley, Jace, Kylie, Isaac, Kaitlyn, Darrien, Madi, Michael, Sydney, Ilea, Ilyas, Izeyah; sister-in-law Patricia Doran, brothers-in-law Raymond Doran, Michael Doran and wife Shirley, Kevin Doran and wife Elaine, and many other nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Glenda, and niece Teresa Jennings.
Ease your mind his soul is at rest,
we were all truly blessed.
Keep his traditions big or small,
and remember how much he loved us all.
Poem by Amy
