Jessie Louise Keel peacefully left this Earth in the early morning of August 4th, 2014. She was born March 2nd, 1918 to Virgil and Cora Light in Lamar, Colorado. Her family moved to Amarillo, Texas where she graduated from Amarillo High (Sandies) in 1936, met and married our father, John. They had 3 children, John, Jerry and Michael (Mike) and they raised their sons in Borger, Texas. The family relocated to Kennewick in 1964 where she lived the remainder of her life. She was a lifelong volunteer (Boy Scouts, KGH and the Red Cross) and an inspiration to her family through her examples of generosity and kindness. She was a long time member of Kennewick First United Methodist Church where she served joyfully in various ways (Happy Birthdays with a stick of gum included). Jessie is survived by her sister Thelma (Billie) Berry of Virginia, Son # 1 John (Lotte) and their children Patty, Debbie, Mary Anne, Willie, Steven, David, and Barbara; Son #2, Jerry (Vikki) and their children Cynthia, Rebecca (Becky) and Lindsay; Son #3, Mike (Delina) and their children Nathan and Amanda. She also was blessed with 25 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom, we hope, are blessed with part of her spirit. Jessie was predeceased by her parents, Cora and Virgil, her husband John, her brother Jack and granddaughter Julianne. Mom's memorial will be Friday, August the 8th at 9 a.m. at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home in Kennewick with Mueller's handling arrangements. Jessie's family wishes to thank the staff of Parkview Estates for their loving care and hospice for providing such wonderful service to our Mom, and to her parents, Virgil and Cora, for having her so we could all share in her life. Rest in Peace Momma.
