Obituary

Jessie Lee Garrett, 66 yrs old, of Kennewick, WA, departed this life October 27, 2025, after a battle with cancer. Born September 23, 1959 from the union of Katherine Vernon and Jessie Garrett.

Jessie, Lee as he was commonly called, grew up in East Pasco, graduated from Pasco High, then attended Columbia Basin College. His love of cars was evident throughout his childhood. Like a kid in a candy store anytime he could tinker with an engine or burn rubber upon take-off.

An avid car enthusiast, with a love for tuning up engines, restoring classics, or installing 12- inch exhaust pipes on his semi - truck tractor. A lifelong career of logging countless miles on the interstate highways and backroads afforded him numerous colleagues and close friendships and that gave him the joy of a kid at Xmas.

Known throughout the trucking industry for his infectious smile, sense of humor, and a genuine willingness to help others whenever he could.

Most of his adult years were spent in Irrigon, Oregon. It was there that he found his loving wife of 35 plus years Tina Harns Garrett, together creating a loving home and raising four children. Colton Garrett and Cheyanne Garrett were the products of that union.

Jessie was preceded in death by his mother, at an early age. His parents, Jessie and Vernice Garrett. His sisters, Michelle Garrett and Lisa Garrett.

Jessie leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Tina Garrett; son, Colton Garrett; daughter, Cheyenne Garrett; sisters, Jackie Kinsey, Las Vegas, NV.; Patricia Kinsey, Newark, CA.; Brothers, Ronnie Kinsey, Kennewick, WA.; Stanley Kinsey, Los Angeles, CA.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & close friends. One very special friend, Otis Winchester!!!

Jessie will forever be remembered for his gentle kindness, unique laughter and steady presence that touched the lives of all those he knew.

His legacy of hard work will continuously inspire all that had the pleasure of meeting him and he'll never be forgotten...

Lastly, but certainly no footnote, the nurses that cared for Jessie. The family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the extraordinary, compassionate, and professional approach you all took caring for Jessie. We will forever be grateful and appreciative for all you did:
