Jeremy Sean Satomi Santo was born in Sunnyside, Washington on April 19, 1979, to Gerry and Lea (Miura) Santo. Surrounded by loved ones, he entered peacefully into eternal rest on March 12, 2025, in Kennewick, Washington.

The youngest of three boys, Jeremy spent his childhood chasing after his two older brothers, playing sports, and making lifelong friendships. The close-knit community of Prosser was the backdrop for Jeremy's formative years, and it would hold a special place in his heart his entire life. The Santo home was ideally located across from Prosser High School, making it the de-facto gathering space for friends. It was well known that you would be able to find a good meal (thanks Lea) and a warm welcome anytime you stopped in, which for Jeremy's friends was frequent, from their middle school days through high school, college and beyond.

Jeremy excelled in school, graduating from Washington State University in 2003 with a degree in biology.

After college he pursued his love for winemaking and he would go on to work for some of the state's most well-known wineries, including Chateau Ste. Michelle, Ryan Patrick, Mercer Estates, and J. Bookwalter. Jeremy's passion for winemaking eventually led him and good friend Jason Schlagle to the creation of their own label. In an already notable career, the release of the first vintage of Schlagel-Santo GSM in 2015 was an incredibly proud and fulfilling moment for him. It meant so much to him to be able to share his wine with family and friends.

Jeremy met his future wife, Michelle, in 2010. They settled in Pasco and had two beautiful children, Ellie and Sam, who were the absolute joy of Jeremy's life. Of his many accomplishments, Jeremy's most treasured role was that of Dad. He loved nothing more than spending time with his kids and could be found at every game, school event or activity his children were interested in. He loved taking them to watch their Uncle Daron coach high school basketball and took great pride in coaching Ellie in basketball as well. He delighted in afternoon school pick-ups, and making dinner for his family. Speaking of making dinner, anyone who knew him well, knew that one of Jeremy's greatest gifts and ways of showing he cared was through cooking. He was the ultimate host and not a single gathering went by where his friends and family didn't benefit from his skills on the barbeque and in the kitchen.

There is no greater testament to the man that he was than in the outpouring of support he received in the last few weeks of his life. The unbreakable ties of family and lasting friendships was a beautiful thing to behold. We hope he felt how deeply loved he truly was. While no one who loved him was ready for him to go, we will never forget all the things that made Jeremy so special. He was incredibly kind, funny, smart, and giving. He had the biggest heart and would do anything for those he loved. It is hard to process the profound loss of a man who meant so much to so many people. God gave him to us for forty-five years, and while that doesn't seem long enough, we find comfort in knowing that God's plan is always greater, and his grace is abundant.

Jeremy is survived by his children, Ellie and Sam, his former wife Michelle, his parents, Gerry and Lea, brothers Derek (Michelle) and Daron, niece Cora and countless other family members and friends who loved him.

Funeral service will be at Christ The King Catholic Church in Richland, WA. Rosary at 10:15am,
