Jeffrey Clark
Doan
Aug 13, 1957 — Aug 6, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeff Doan, a beloved husband, stepfather, grandfather, friend, and dedicated public servant. Jeff passed away peacefully this morning, leaving behind a legacy of service, kindness, and unwavering faith.
Jeff began his career with the Washington State Department of Corrections in 2001, where he served with honor and pride at both Larch Corrections Center and Coyote Ridge Corrections Center. Over the span of more than two decades, Jeff distinguished himself as a steadfast and compassionate Corrections Officer, always upholding the values of dignity, safety, and respect. He retired in September 2024, having made a lasting impact on those he worked with and mentored.
More than his career, Jeff will be remembered for his gentle spirit and deep empathy. He had a quiet strength, consistently putting the needs of others before his own. His kindness wasn't loud—it was steady, faithful, and deeply felt by all who knew him.
Jeff was a man of deep faith and lived his beliefs through action and service. A devoted Seventh-day Adventist, he was active in his church community and exemplified Christian values in both his personal and professional life.
Jeff was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Val Doan, with whom he shared a beautiful life filled with love and mutual support. He is survived by his three cherished stepdaughters and his eleven adored grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Details regarding Jeff's memorial service will be announced at a later date.
