Janiece O?Connell, age 77, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2009 surrounded by her family. She was born on July 24, 1932 in Dagmar, Montana to Sigwald and Irene Haugen. On April 23, 1952, she married Clifton O?Connell in Billings, Montana. Clifton's employment with the Northern Pacific Railroad drew the family to Pasco in 1959. Janiece provided day care in her home for over 20 years. She also baked and decorated birthday and wedding cakes. For 25 years she worked during Elections for Franklin County. Janiece was a faithful and active member of Pasco First Lutheran Church. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Dale and Bev O?Connell, Vickie and Pat McGillivray, Paulette and Stan Stinson, Colleen and Duane McPheron, 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton, and their infant daughter Catherine. The family is grateful for the loving care Janiece received at Kadlec Medical Center and Chaplaincy Hospice House. Visitation will be Monday, 5 to 8 PM at Mueller?s Greenlee Funeral Home, 1608 W. Court St. in Pasco. Graveside service will be held at 9:30 AM Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009 at City View Cemetery. The memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at Pasco First Lutheran Church, N. 5th & W. Bonneville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Pasco First Lutheran Church or Chaplaincy Hospice House.
