Janie Lee Eadie, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, auntie, niece and friend, was called home by our Heavenly Father on January 10, 2008 at the age of 60. Janie Lee Eadie was born April 8, 1947 in Berkely County in Pineville, South Carolina, the oldest daughter to Julia Glover and Francis Mayzeck. Janie graduated from Central High School and married her soul mate, Rev. Robert L. Eadie, Sr. and had four beautiful children. Janie was a loving nanny and enjoyed working in Senior Citizen homes. In 1998, she and her husband moved to the Tri-Cities. Janie accepted Jesus as her personal Savior at an early age and was a faithful and dedicated member of Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church before her death. Janie was an ordained Deaconess, member of the Mission and Senior Choir, Sunday School Superintendent, Teacher and Chairman of the Decorating Committee. She also served as President of the Tri-Cities Ministers Wives Association. Janie will always be remembered for her caring spirit, easy-going nature and friendliness. Janie loved family reunions, serving others, helping the unfortunate and, most of all, SHE LOVED TO PRAISE THE LORD. Her favorite scripture was Psalms 121 and one of her favorite songs was "When He Calls Me I Will Answer". She leaves to mourn her departure, her devoted and loving husband Rev. Robert L. Eadie, Sr., three daughters and one son, Karen V. Eadie, Tamiko Eadie-Ellis and her husband, Joseph Pat Ellis, Tiffany Eadie-Simmons and Robert L. Eadie , Jr., her mother Julia M. Glover Henderson, sister O'Deana Fregia and fourteen grandchildren; Wemekia Eadie, De'Andre Edmondson, Shanice Safford-Eadie, Jac'Queline Marshall, Stephen White, Jr., Cameroun White, Na'Jara Ellis, Racia Ellis, Janasha Ellis, Robert L. Eadie III, Jasmine Eadie, Sierra Eadie, Cyara Walls and James A. Taylor III, one great-grandchild Dassani Eadie, in-laws; Dan and Alleen Eadie, Ruth and William White, Dennis Eadie, Wayne and Bernadette Cameron, Page Eadie-Cameron and Delores Eadie, cousins; Sammie Ravenell, Lebertha Spann and Leroy Collins, two very special cousins; Trindell and Bertie Lights, two very special friends; Alma Simmons and Shirley Allen, a host of nieces, nephews and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her father Francis Mayzeck and stepfather Herbert Henderson.
