Janice Hackert July 8, 1937 - December 19, 2020 Kennewick, Washington - Janice E Hackert, age 83 of Kennewick, entered eternal life peacefully at home with her daughter on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Funeral services will take place at 11 am on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7409 W Clearwater Ave, Kennewick.WA 99336. Visitation will be at Holy Spirit Catholic Church one hour prior to the services. A live stream will be available on the Holy Spirit Kennewick Facebook page. Janice was born to Everett and Eleanor (Graser) Clinton on July 8, 1937 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She married John Hackert, and together they raised 8 children. In addition to being a homemaker, Janice worked many years for the phone company. Starting as a telephone operator in Oakland California in the 1970's retiring as a GTE phone mart manager in Troutdale Oregon in the 1990's. After retiring she was an enthusiastic member of the Springfield Oregon Chamber of Commerce. Her favorite activities with the Chamber included reading to special needs students in the area and working the Chamber's annual Special Olympics fundraiser "Walk for the Gold". Janice was an active member of the Catholic Church. She was a talented pianist with a beautiful voice and used these talents at each parish she attended. She will be greatly missed. Janice is survived by her husband, John Hackert, and daughters, Beth Conley, Sharee (Steve) Kline, Kimberly (Grayson) Register, Theresa Hackert, Tina (Lroy) Brandner, Johnna Lyda, and 17 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Janice was predeceased by her sons Kevin and Michael and her granddaughter Tiffany and grandson Jeremy.
