Our dear mother Janelle Louise Dupuis, 77, sadly passed away Wednesday morning, July 26th, after a stroke at Sacred Heart in Spokane.

She was born in Pasco, WA on October 20, 1945 to Allen and Mildred (Tillie) Hailey. Janelle was a retired travel agent and hairdresser.

Her first marriage was to David Stewart in 1968 and soon after Hailey and Joe were born. In 1993, she married Arne Dupuis and was married until he passed away from cancer in 2015. In that marriage, she inherited his five children who adored her, Doreen, Joe, Keith, Kenny and Krissy.

Janelle loved to play golf. She played in a league at the West Richland Golf Course and also liked Buckskin Loop. She was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodges in West Richland where every year she and Arne held the annual Moose Lodge Picnic at their beautiful home. After the Lodge closed, she offered up her home for weekly darts. She was also a volunteer for the American Sprint Boat Racing Association, which allowed her to travel as far as New Zealand. She loved to travel and was very fond of Hawaii.

Janelle was a very loving person and cared for others, helping many in need. But mostly in life, she loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchild! She also had many good friends including her neighbors, who included her in their festivities!

She is survived by her brother Jim (Jeanne); her children Hailey and Joe; step-children Doreen, Joe (Ann), Keith (Lori), Kenny (Erin), and Krissy (KC); grandchildren Cortney, Lindsey, Bria, Tyler, Jack, Sean, Ashlyn, Jayden, Elizabeth, London, Ariya, Blakelyn, Cooper, Taylor, Lincoln, and great grandchild Henley.

Memorial services will be held at Mueller's Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union St, Kennewick, WA, on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 10:30 a.m., with refreshments following at Mueller's Funeral Home in downtown Kennewick at 314 W. 1st Ave.
