James W Lane Jr. (Jim) was reunited with his wife in heaven April 14, 2018. Jim was born in Sioux City, Iowa on December 25, 1933 to Jim and Dorothy (Dot) Lane. He was raised there with his brother Keith and sister Mary. After high school, Jim joined the Navy and served four years as an electrician on the Destroyer USS Bremerton. After the navy he met and married his wife Betty and had three children Scott, Marty, and Robin. Jim's career took the family to many areas of the United States including Boise Idaho, Santa Cruz California, Lawndale California, And Tri-Cities Washington. Jim lived the last part of his life in Spokane, Washington to be near Scott and Robin. He had worked as an electrical engineer most of his early career with Hughes Aircraft, Vitro Engineering, and Power Engineering. He also had a Farmers Insurance office with his brother Keith for many years, and even did a stint with the Rail Road before finishing his working career with his neighbor Tom at the Franklin County Weed and Pest Control. Jim is survived by his son Scott, his daughter Robin, and their families including 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Wife, Parents, brother and sister, and son Marty. The family would like to thank all of the special individuals who gave such exceptional care and attention to Jim in his final years. Jim's unique humor, smile, constant teasing and loving presence will be missed by all. At Jim's request there will be no service. He will be laid to rest in Kennewick next to his loving wife Betty.
