Obituary

February 14, 1922 - March 19, 2011 A loving husband, father, grandfather and devoted friend to many. Jim, as most knew him by, was a 66 year resident of Kennewick. He operated a local business in Kennewick for 28 years. Jim served his country enlisting in 1943 and was a WWII Navy Veteran. Jim lived his life by helping others - whether it by being generous in small ways - his kindness had lifelong effects on those whom he encountered. Jim changed many lives in his lifetime, always bettering the many he had helped. Jim was always a sportsman in hunting and fishing with his family and friends, bringing joy to all around him. He enjoyed spending time throughout the years at Fishtrap Lake and up in the Blue Mountains. Jim is now at peace with his son, Gregory. Jim is survived by his wife, Alice Lambert of 65 years; son, Larry Lambert; grandchildren, Sybil Mager and Gregory Lambert; great grandson, Bo Mager; and loyal in-laws, Raymond, Kenny and Opal Kuh and Dorothy Laugen. Additionally, Jim has many surviving nieces and nephews here and outside the Tri-Cities area. A god fearing man, loved by all who knew him. I'm sure God and Jim are doing cool things. Jim's family sincerely thanks the staff at Life Care Center of Kennewick for their support. Jim will be laid to rest at Riverview Heights Cemetery in Kennewick. Per his wishes, no service will be held. Donations may be made on Jim's behalf to The Tri-Cities Chaplaincy www.tricitieschaplaincy.org or other charity of choice.
