Obituary

James Delbert Jacobson was born on June 2, 1929, on the family homestead in Regina, Montana, and passed away on May 10, 2025, in Spokane, Washington, surrounded by loved ones.

Del served in a MASH unit during the Korean War. After his service, he settled in Malta, MT, where he met Dolores Wood. They married in 1956 and moved to Kennewick, WA, in 1961 to raise their family. They shared 57 years of marriage until Dolores's passing in 2013.

Del worked as an auto mechanic and retired from the Richland School District. He loved gardening, spending time with family, and attending Richland Lutheran Church.

He is survived by sons Ron (Michele) and Corey (Adela); grandchildren Amy, Katie, Andrew, Morgan, and Mia; and great-grandchildren Illeana and Darius. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores, son James, and granddaughter Emily.

• Viewing: Friday, May 30, 3–5 p.m., Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union St., Kennewick

• Funeral: Saturday, May 31, 11 a.m., Richland Lutheran Church, 901 Van Giesen St., Richland
