James Franklin Esters, Jr. (Jim) (Butch) passed away Nov. 10, 2013 at his home in Kennewick after a year-long battle with cancer, in the arms of his son. He was born Nov. 1, 1955 "All Saints Day" in Walla Walla, WA to Jim and Goldie Esters. Jim moved frequently in his early years until settling in Kennewick at about the age of 5. He was a graduate of Kamiakin High School. Jim married his school sweet heart, Barb Collins, in 1976. They had two children, Ryan and Jenna. In 1976, Jim began his apprenticeship with the "Brotherhood of Carpenters" Local 1849. He continued to work construction up until he had an accident at work in 1999. The last 5 years of his life he spent working for Lowe's in Pasco. Jim found his "passion" when he began coaching Little League Baseball. He spent 13 years teaching the true meaning of "team player". Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, and nephews JJ Goiri and Little Dale Swearingen. Jim is survived by his son, Ryan (Lorelei) Esters of Austin, TX, his daughter, Jenna (Pete) Souphasith of Renton, WA, brothers Larry, Ricky, and Terry, sisters Janet, Goldie, and Dawn, Grandma Mary, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Jim was a sweet, honest, and wonderful man, and his children were his whole life. You'll be forever in our hearts Dad. Rest in Peace. You were the Best!
