We sadly give notice that our beloved son, brother, and uncle, Jake Welsh has left us. Jake was born in Portland, Oregon on November 23rd, 1983 to Mark Welsh and Jeanne Welsh. He passed away at his home on the night of November 19th, 2014. Jake moved to Kennewick with his family when he was three years old. He was active in Kennewick National Youth Baseball, soccer, football and wrestling at DHMS, hunting and fishing and rock climbing. Jake treasured the time he spent racing in motocross; a day spent at the track with his racing number 886 on his back was when he was happiest. He graduated from Kamiakin High School in 2002. After High School, Jake moved to Everett and worked alongside his brother as a mechanic at Boeing. Jake enjoyed deep sea fishing at the Oregon Coast with his dad, Paul, Phil, Greg and Alex. He also valued spending evenings playing pool or Frisbee golf. Jake loved his family and they loved him. There will be a void in all our hearts with his passing. Many will miss him, including his parents, siblings, Kim Kothrade (Dana) (Escondido, CA), Hayley (son Tristan), Nick (Iza), Mackenzie and numerous other family members. A memorial service and reception following will be Wednesday, November 26th at 12 PM at Calvary Chapel, 10611 W. Clearwater, Kennewick, WA. John 1:4-5 The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
