Jacob Richard Lundberg, age 16, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Pasco, Washington on Saturday, December 24, 2022. Jacob was born in Richland, WA on May 18, 2006, to his loving parents, Jason and Rosa. His parents ensured a warm and loving home alongside his older sisters, Abigail (Chandler) and Emma, and his twin brother Joshua. Words cannot express their deep sorrow for this unexpected loss.

Jacob grew up in Pasco, Washington, and was currently a junior at Chiawana High School. He was a kind soul with a smile that lit up the room. His childhood was filled with laughter and joy alongside numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and teammates. He was loved dearly by his grandmothers, Velda (Ed) Schafer and Hilaria Sabalsa. Jacob is received in heaven by his grandfathers, Richard and Cirenio, and Uncle Steven.

Jacob was humble and kind, just as his parents had always prayed he would be. He had a servant's heart and willingly helped with anything. On the day of his Confirmation, his family watched happily as he walked to the altar with a bright smile. Jacob was a happy, down-to-earth boy who enjoyed life's simple things. Jacob especially loved spending time with his cousins and playing baseball.

Jacob lived life to the fullest and never turned down an adventure as big or small as it may be. He was the first one in the car the minute he heard his dad going anywhere, his sisters and brother going on a Dutch Bros run, or mom running a quick errand. He eagerly participated in any shenanigans with his cousins—anything from making videos to playing made-up yard games or competing in an intense family camp triathlon tournament. Jacob loved his cousins dearly and always knew what they were up to. Nothing was off limits to making memories with those he loved the most. We love you, Jake.

His love for baseball started at a young age, starting Little League at six years old. Jacob dedicated himself to becoming the best player he could be. He worked hard at practice, never complained, and spent extra hours in the batting cages. Jacob hustled onto the field early and was one of the last ones out. There wasn't a weight training session or extra practice he would decline because he wanted to grow as a baseball player and, most importantly, be with his teammates and friends. His parents shuttled him to every game near and far, and watching him play was a blessing and joy. We love you, #23.

Jacob's absence will be felt forever. His light will shine and live in the memories of all of us.
