Ismael Izzy
Tamez
Aug 31, 1972 — Jan 10, 2025
Ismael "Izzy" Tamez, a loving son and brother, passed away on January 10th, 2025, at 52.
Izzy was born on August 31st, 1972 in Pasco, WA. He was born to Jose R. Tamez and Rosa M. Guajardo and was the third oldest of six children. He graduated from Pasco High School in 1990. He worked at Lamb Weston for over a decade where he learned the importance of hard work that his father always instilled in him. He found his purpose in heavy equipment mechanics and joined the union to achieve his professional goals. However, his work was not the only thing that was important to him.
He loved being outdoors whether it was fishing or hunting. With family he found lots of joy to teach them how to hunt and to share his passion with the people he loved. He did not just share his love of the outdoors with just anybody; these were special moments that he enjoyed sharing with his friends and family.
Izzy lived his life by always loving the people around him. Whether it was sharing very elaborate stories that filled the room with laughter and brought smiles to people's faces. Or by simply always showing up and helping in any way that he could. He valued spending time with his family as a brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, best friend, and godfather. From the second he became an uncle he made it a priority to always treat all nine of his nieces and nephews as his own. He was a kind and loving soul who was generous with his love. He will be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to meet him and experience the love he had for them.
Izzy will be forever remembered by his mother who mourns the loss of her son that she loved deeply and is now reunited with his father.
His siblings, Lionel, Melissa, Priscilla, Alejandro, and Javier, will cherish the love they shared with their brother.
He will be missed deeply but the stories we all share with him will live forever.
