Irene Foeppel passed January 7th with her family by her side. Born in Nebraska on October 29, 1920 to Rex and Verla Cole, Irene was a very strong and independent woman. She was proceeded by her parents and husbands Luke Harvey, Bill Foeppel, her brother Bill (Bernice) Cole and daughter Gail Price. Irene had three children, Gail Price, Terry Jones and Rich Foeppel. She had numerous grandchildren, Candy, Cindy, Tami, Mark, Matt, Jenny, Ryan and Justin. Recently she spent time with her great-great grandchild. The wife of a WSU extension agent, she could whip up a great dinner on short notice. An accomplished cook, home maker and hard worker. She lived in the "independent" section at Riverton to the end. She had great friends, many who have passed, but really enjoyed Nadine, Art, Clyde, Mary, Katie and her lunch buddies at Riverton. Irene will be laid to rest at Maple Leaf Cemetery on Whidbey Island, WA, where her parents and husband Bill are buried.
