Howard Leray
Ruiz
May 19, 1941 — Jun 16, 2025
Howard Leray Ruiz was born on May 19th, 1941, in Stockton, California at San Joaquin General Hospital to June & Arthur Ruiz. Howard lived most of his life in California before relocating to Tri-cities, WA in 1993, where he spent the rest of his life . Howard passed away peacefully at his home on June 16th, 2025. He lived a great life and was a proud Union man and even in his older age made sure everyone knew he belonged to the Labor Union Local 348.
Howard loved to spend time camping, fishing and barbecuing but most of all he loved time with his family. He was that guy who could hold a conversation with anyone and he loved telling stories of all his life experiences to whoever would like to listen. He had a thing about him that drew attention wherever he was without him even trying to do so.
Howard is survived by his siblings, June, Gary, Tony, Lillian, Emma, Ray, Jr, Chinkey and Beanie. Sons Randy, Wally, David, and stepsons Jesse and Danny. Grandkids, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents Mother June, Father Arthur, Brothers, Art and Jimmy and his beloved wife Norma .
Mueller's funeral home is in charge of final arrangements and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with info to follow by invitation.
