In Loving Memory of Bud McCary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bud McCary, age 88, who went home to be with our Lord and Savior in the early hours of Monday morning, April 6th, 2026.

Bud was not only a beloved husband and father but also a skilled butcher and meat cutter who dedicated 43 years to running a cherished meat shop in Basin City. His exceptional talent in making sausage and jerky brought joy to many, and he took great pride in sharing his craft with the community. His passion for quality meats made his shop a local favorite.

After retiring, Bud and Marlene enjoyed exploring some of their favorite places together, attending gospel music events featuring groups like the Liberty Quartet, and touring beautiful locations such as Branson and Arizona with great friends.

Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Marlene McCary; his sons, Rick McCary (DeAnna) and Greg McCary (Diana); and many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his dear daughter, Cindy (Blan).

A celebration of Bud's life will take place at the First Baptist Church in Pasco, Washington, located at 1105 Road 36, Pasco, on April 18th at 11:00 AM, followed by a luncheon.

While flowers are lovely, the family kindly requests that any donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation in Bud's memory, as this would be a meaningful gesture.
