Obituary

Harriet Taylor (93) of Kennewick passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014. She was born December 14, 1921 in Spokane, WA to Harry and Mable Morgan. She was a past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, a member of Shriners International and of the Tri-City Country Club. She was an active woman who enjoyed bowling, golfing and gardening. She had a green thumb and grew the most gorgeous roses. She also sewed beautifully, crocheted and did embroidery. She worked at Dodson's Jewelers in Kennewick and was an avid Bridge player. She volunteered in the elementary school classrooms of two of her great-grandchildren helping their classmates with their reading. In her quiet time she loved to read and do crossword puzzles. Travel was one of Harriet's most favorite things. Her first international trip was to meet her first great-grandson in Germany. She later traveled to England, France, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. She also went to Australia and New Zealand where she rode a camel with her daughter-in-law Iris. She also enjoyed taking bus tours with a senior tour group throughout the Pacific Northwest. Her family and friends will remember her as an elegant, strong and loving woman. She was feisty and had a wicked sense of humor. She loved the colors pink and purple. She enjoyed glitz and bling and had the most fun spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patricia, brother Stanley and husband Bruce. Those who celebrated her life and will continue to do so are her children Danny Taylor (Iris), Patrick Taylor (Gloria), Judy Feldman (Mike), and Geri Sage (Alan). She has passed on her independence, tenacity and strength to (9) grandchildren: Anna, Diane, David, Laura, Tara, Todd, Alan, Tiffany and Monica. There are (18) great grandchildren who referred to her as Gramma Gramma: Zachary, Emilie, Sarah, Amanda, Liam, Isabella, Ean, Paul, Brett, Lily, Sean, Ella, Lillian, Eleanor, Benjamin, Brooke, Allie and Owen. She is also survived by her niece Melinda Blackburn. A memorial will be held later so all that loved her may attend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to the charity of your choice
